Badgesplaining - App-Based Social Skills Micro-Credentialing

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This talk discusses technology-based interactive social skills training, and particularly the largely unexplored terrain of earning badges entirely through apps. It features a highly innovative app that coaches users through conflict conversations in real time and trains negotiation skills, including a 6-hour syllabus for a badge in basic conflict resolution. Both benefits (reducing skills transfer gaps and increasing retention) and challenges (supervision and quality control) will be addressed.
