Avant has been a pioneer in online, adaptive 4-skill language proficiency assessments since 2001 including development of the original ELPA test for the Oregon Department of Education. Our STAMP test is widely used to credential heritage learners of Spanish and 12 additional languages for school credit and the Seal of Biliteracy. We also deliver WorldSpeak tests of writing and speaking in 29 less commonly taught languages for school credit and the Seal of Biliteracy.

I am a passionate advocate for the effective learning and teaching of all of America's languages. Language is the life blood of a culture and each person. I lived and worked in Tokyo for a decade and have a Working Fluency Global Seal of Biliteracy.
